Question: Why do MTV pronounce their "Dumb Ass" section of programmes "Dumb Arse"?
Or perhaps, a more precise question may be:
Question: Why do MTV not play music?
I remember first getting $ky, back in 1994. The bloke came out to install the system early on a Saturday morning. I was, naturally, up early for once pending being [...]

Okay, I took more photos at Hunstanton than I thought – 48 in total.
And you can see the whole set over here… including some bloody huge swans.

Thanks to those who enquired about my back injury – I'm glad to report that it's gradually getting back to normal again. Sadly, it's something that not only comes with being tall, but runs in the family. It forced me to miss Friday's night at work, clearly an indication of how severe the pain was… [...]

Similar story to last September here.
I've managed to pull a muscle (or something painfully similar) halfway down my back, resulting in the inability to move. Certainly not good, and certainly very bloody painful. Quite how I managed it, feck knows – one minute I was lying in bed, the next I couldn't move.
Still, at least [...]

Hazaah!
Back from Hunstanton (well, to be accurate, back six hours ago), with a sack of photos (well, 52), a slight suntan, and a rasta figurine. Trust me on this. I'll take a photo of it and upload it, if proof be needed.
The Hunstanton photos will be bunged up tomorrow. I'm having to use the office [...]

Mass excitement at "possibility of day out" tomorrow.
Mass irony at "possibility of day out" coinciding with beginning of second England vs Sri Lanka test match.
Mass decision to make.

(taken from Trackoff's May newsletter)
A pedestrian who tried to cross the railway at a foot crossing in the path of a train demanded compensation after being hit by the train at Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
While being treated at the scene by paramedics for bruising, the man kept asking "When am I going to get my compensation?". [...]

Worth a mention in dispatches is the fact that we’ve sailed through the 20,000 mark in terms of hits – and, with some irony, the 20,000th visitor arrived here by searching on Yahoo for “weird and wonderful”, stayed here for 39 minutes, and left to read some Hoover-related stuff.
In other news, and with thanks (if [...]

It's starting to look ominous for May's day out.
Back at the start of the year, one resolution was to have one day out per month. I foresaw a snag in that logic when comtemplating months like January, February, November and December and the possible weather issues. What I didn't forsee was for that to affect [...]

Have I been asleep for four months?
I wake up this afternoon, get out of bed (logical progression), and think “bloody hell, it’s gibbering”. The heating is turned off, as generally it’s a nice warm house. Except today. It’s gibbering. And there’s that familiar sound of precipitation tapping on the window. It could still be January, [...]

"…………………………"
Yep, apart from tonight, and tomorrow night (when I'm at work), it's going to be a quiet weekend. 'Er Indoors disappeared off to East Midlands Airport some thirty minutes ago, Prague-bound, and so it's a weekend of making my own cups of tea. Can't have it all, I guess.
After somewhere in the region of about [...]

So, Big Brother 7 has started. Not that I give a fuck.
Last year, I vowed not to watch it. This year, 'Er Indoors has already mentioned that she may watch it "at some point". The vagueness of this is hopefully restricted to times that I'm not in front of the television. I have no desire [...]

Fucking boat insurance! Fucking boat insurance, I ask you!
Yes, the latest piece of spam junk to be filtered by Akismet (among a sack load of new stuff today) is boat insurance. In fact, dozens of different types of insurance, and also dozens of different types of card games. Do these spambot programmers have a warped [...]
