Rutland Water
Posted by Skytower on Fri April 20, 2007
So, Wednesday featured a day out where, despite it being one of the cooler days of the week, I still managed to regain a layer of suntan lost since the Tobago excursion. I'll get a reputation like David Dickinson at this rate.
Anyway, Rutland Water was nice, peaceful, and crowd-free (hence going on a weekday). As these couple of pictures will testify.
Above, Normanton Church Museum, looking quite idyllic. Below, a lovely carpet of flowers (I was told what flowers they were, but I've forgotten, so someone can fill in the blank if they desire) among the trees.
And, of course, an obligatory duck photo, complete with baby ducklings…
There's a few more "variations on a theme" to see, if you so desire, and this link should take you there.
