So, we all remember Paul Gascoigne – or Gazza (or – even – G8, briefly… hence the post title which Prince fans might grasp quicker) for his fine footballing skills. And, if we’re thinking musically, for the stunning reinterpretation of “Fog On The Tyne” together with Lindisfarne. A fine musical moment if ever there was one.

But, how many of you remember the follow-up? Well, here’s a chance to savour the magic that is… “Geordie Boys (Gazza Rap)”, complete with lyrics that Bert Bacharach would have been proud of, and a video that must have completely blown any budget available at the time. Almost groundbreaking for 1991, in fact.

Or, alternatively… bloody hell Gazza, how can you not be able to mime to those lyrics properly?!

If you’re one that usually skips videos on blogs, do yourself a favour and indulge in two minutes of sheer embarassment…
