It's been a few years now since last seeing Elton John live. Actually, I make that sound like I've aleady seen him loads of times – but no, just the once. So far.

By fluke, I stumbled across a news article earlier today, advertising his three dates that have been announced on the run-up to Christmas – one of which, is where I saw him last time, the Manchester Evening News arena. The show is entitled "The Red Piano", and has been playing at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for the last three or four years – but only once before in this country.

So, temptation seems too great to miss this. The tickets go on sale on Friday, and given how long he was on stage last time (a good two-and-a-half hours), no doubt it'll be worth whatever price the tickets are.
