Jollies

It's always nice to be able to start counting down to a holiday.

Thus, it is ten weeks and a day until I get – hopefully a fortnight – down in the south of England. There's a lot of scrimping and saving to be done – okay, funds aren't exactly tight, but for those of us who do not get the luxury of holiday pay (oh, the woes of being self-employed), it means that I've got to account for the lost earnings as well as any holiday expenses.

Elsewhere, after a nice thirteen-night run of work, it's time to take the foot off of the gas for a couple of days, and get back up to speed with a) the housework, b) paperwork, c) a stack load of music that needs going through, d) contacting the Inland Revenue (allow at least one hour), e) sitting in a pub and having time to enjoy a pint, and f) anything else I can think of. Maybe a bit of shopping, and going to the bank – stuff like that.

After a few blinks, the days off will be gone, and the working week will recommence.
