Retracing

Yesterday saw the very first day out of the year.
I’ve never been a big fan of going out on a Saturday – too many people around and all that kind of thing – but if you go out into the sticks, good and proper, you can avoid the madding crowds. Oh, and setting off at around half past nine in the morning helps, too.
So, it was a perfect occasion to retrace a section of the Grantham Canal route. In fact, one of the sections that got spoilt somewhat by the weather last time – namely, Cropwell Bishop to Harby. This time, though, the weather played (very) fair.
There’s a few photos, but since updating WordPress, the photo upload thingy’s a bit duff (which needs redressing), so I’ll stick those up some other time. But it’s good to report that despite a ten mile walk – the first such distance done since last summer – the body shows no aches or ill side-effects.
Amazed, to say the least.
