Eurotrash?

It’s been at least sixteen – possibly nearer twenty – years since last watching Eurovision. And, it has to be said, for all the criticism that it garners, on the whole it is not a bad musical showpiece. I say “on the whole”, because some of the entries (such as France and Spain) simply cannot be excused.

But, then comes the farcical bit – the voting. And so, we finish joint last. Not a massive shock, it has to be said. But it is still humorous to hear the great Wogan chipping in with his little jibes and observations, even if most of them do relate to the neighbourly voting that boringly takes place.

Anyway, it’s done, and it’s Russia’s. An Enrique-a-like. Lovely.
