Roadshow revisited
Posted by Skytower on Mon January 5, 2009
We never did get to see the final map of the 2008 Roadshow Tour, primarily because the write-up never got completed. Quelle surprise.
But, at long last, let’s rewind six months, and retrace those steps that “one man and his Mondeo” covered.
Key: Pink marker = start point; Yellow marker = place of stay; Cyan marker = place visited; Purple marker = end point. Click on the markers for more detail.
Intentionally, it focussed around the south and south-west, although it would have covered the south-east had the weather not been totally bollocks for the second week.
2009′s jaunt is being considered – let’s face it, time flies so fast that it’ll be around before we know it. June 20th looks set to be the start date, making sure I’m back home ahead of the start of the Ashes series on July 8th – all important! Quite what this year’s break will entail is yet to be decided; there’s thought of doing a similar “roadshow” on a larger scale, or perhaps it may be a week in Scotland backed with a week in Cornwall – a kind-of John O’Groats to Land’s End idea. Time will tell.
The photo collection from last year’s jollies is over in the direction of Flickr. Here, possibly.
